Watch Nathan Transform !

First consultation : May 2002 Nathan is tired of trying losing weight ... his previous attempts with different diets and programs didn't work. So let's establish a plan ! Currently : Height : 178cm, Weight: 238 lbs ( 108.2 kg), Body fat composition :34.7% (measured with a Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis set to normal activity)-

His goal is to lose a reasonable 10-12% of body fat in order to be in a healthy range . His basal metabolic rate is 2240 cal/day. His blood pressure is slightly elevated, 128/70, and his resting heart rate is currently 64 bpm .

 

Note : when you measure your body composition be aware that the number is there to show you where you start your program and to measure the progress . Keep in mind the number is not YOU and you are not the number !! So smile, because you can still change what you don't like ;))

 

 

 

Monday 17th June 2002. After a month on his program Nathan has already lost 8.8lbs on those pictures ! His current weight is 229lbs , his bodyfat dropped to 34% and his energy level has dramatically improved ! First feedback : Nathan feels better and sleeps very well now. Notice that the weight loss is not too fast but steady and safe in order to keep the muscle mass .

 

 

Monday 1st July 2002 . In only14 days Nathan has lost 7.5 lbs (total 16.3 lbs). His bodyfat is now at 32.4% . He's currently 221.7lbs . He already has 7 cm less on his waist (starts to lose his pants !) and put on nice muscle : Although the skinfold on his triceps is thinner his arms are 1cm larger when flexed . We can observe here that the most important thing to monitor is the fat loss not the weight loss, because he will put on muscle weight while losing fat weight. His strength has improved a lot and he's getting better at jogging on longer distance.

 

Monday 15th July 2002 . Nathan is training hard and has already got rewards for that : Although his weight is quite the same than 15 days ago ( 221.3 lbs ) his bodyfat dropped to 31.4% which means that he lost again 2.2lbs of fat ! Three months ago Nathan could jogg only 200 meters , now he can jogg 5.4 kilometers without stopping ;)

 

Monday 29th July 2002 . Nathan is definitely getting leaner : he didn't lose any weight this time but he dropped again his body fat to 30.4% which 2.2lbs of fat melted that he certainly replaced with lean muscle ;) We need to take new pictures on paper from this date as he has decided to enter a new competition "Body for Life" , a shame he didn't started last month !!! So here are the new before pics for BFL competition. ( results so far : 16 lbs and 4% less bodyfat )

 

Monday 12th August 2002 . Nathan has done 2 months of his " Fitter Lifestyle " programme. His body weight is down to 215 lbs ( 97.7 kg ), his bodyfat is currently at 30.1% and he has achieved so far a total of 17.66 lbs fat loss. His blood pressure this morning was 110/65. Monday 26th August 2002 . Today we took one pic at the gym and the other one is from last Saturday at Iceland where we had FUN : moving and losing weight is just that, HAVING FUN ! But today I'd like to say have a good look at the pics on this page : if someone tells you that you can lose fat and get the body of your dream with no exercise or little effort then think again !! WHEN IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT NORMALLY IS ! As you can see here Nathan is paying the price for his new body, but guess what ?? HE ENJOYS IT AND HE GETS THE REWARDS FOR HIS EFFORTS !!! Here are his last measurements : Body weight 210.3 lbs ( 95.6 kg ), Body fat 29.2% which is another fat loss of 3.36 lbs ( 1.53 kg ) in 15 days !! And Nathan is still putting on muscle while losing fat thanks to his " In Shape For Life " IMPACT program ;))
